The company Unikov was founded in 1991 as a metal production company. The production had been gradually extended by production of components for containers and since 1996, a year that marked a beginning of co-operation with dutch companies, it has gradually transformed into the producer of large-capacity-containers. This production programme has been acknowledged in 1997, when the company acquired other important customers in Slovenia, that are the major foreign customers up to now. Our company nowadays also exports to Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania, France and Germany. In recent years, the company has established its position also on slovak market, the domestic production at present represents 60% of our total production.
The company has undergone a dynamic growth since its establishment and at present, in its own premises with area of more than 2000 m2 , it is technologically completely equipped for production of containers according to norms DIN, without the necessity to co-operate. All containers are certified in Technical testing institute in Piešťany, Slovakia and are marked by high quality. In our offer, you can find various types of winding, pressing, hydraulic, screw compactors, skip and storage containers, which we produce made-to-measure. Our pressing containers are a solution for more effective processing of municipal waste, as well as for protection of the environment. The last innovation in this field is a pressing container for transfer stations that are used for reloading and pressing of the municipal waste from garbage trucks into large-capacity-containers with volume up to 35-40 m3 . We also produce additional metal products.
The growing demand for our products and our ambition to constantly improve the production process leads us to further investments. At the moment, we are finishing a new production hall that will increase our production area up to 3000 m2 as well as the area for storage of containers by 1300 m2 .
